Specification Writing

We provide Specification Writing services for a variety of purposes. Examples include, change of existing vessel, modernisation purposes or replacement of machinery items. This service normally involves discussions with the client concerning the proposed alterations and aims to establish whether they are technically feasible. The specification is then produced in conjunction with a detailed drawing to create a package that may be forwarded to contractors for quoting.

Stability Work

We carry out stability work whether it is in connection with a new design or an existing vessel. These operations range from one-off condition checks through to full incline experiments resulting in the production of stability booklets for classification / MCA approval. Damage stability analysis can also be undertaken. In some cases we assist the owner to check the stability of their vessel and offer advice on changes in layout or operation procedure that may enhance the stability characteristics of the vessel.

Construction Supervision

In situations such as new build or conversion, we provide supervision on behalf of the client to assess build progress and handling of correspondence between the client and the shipyard.
